If you're shopping for a home and schools are important to you, there's a number of online sites to look at. I encourage you to use several sites, so you can get a well-rounded view of the schools in your area. If you're looking at public schools, be sure to look at the District's Website to see what school a property is zoned for and/or call the District office to get that info.
GreatSchools.org is a site a number of my clients use as one of several resources to examine a school's quality. Here's how their site describes the organization:
"GreatSchools is a non-profit organization with profiles of more than 200,000 preK-12 schools – public, public charter and private – and over one million reviews from parents, teachers and students sharing information about the schools they know best. We also have thousands of articles, worksheets, and videos to help parents encourage and support learning at home."
